Brain Injury may also refer to brain damage, traumatic brain injury and acquired brain injury.

- Acquired brain injury occurs after birth regardless whether it is traumatic or nontraumatic.
Brain damage can be mild, moderate or severe depending on the cause of the brain injury.
I remember my cousin who was rushed in the hospital because of a motorcycle accident which resulted to a traumatic brain injury. A motorcycle accident usually involves collision with another vehicle and some people die depending on the impact that is why even if the motorcycle driver is wearing a protective helmet, he/she can still be in danger.
